Jacknife took home two awards at the 2025 RGD Branding Awards, with Growers, a brand under Arterra Wines Canada, honoured in packaging design and Gamut recognized for a full rebrand. Both projects reflect the power of creativity, clarity, and connection at every touchpoint.

Our best work starts with smart strategy and ends with bold, intentional design. This year, we were recognized not once, but twice at the 2025 RGD Branding Awards.

 

This international competition celebrates the best in identity and branding. Our work with Growers and Gamut took home wins in Packaging Design and Integrated Rebrand/Refresh, respectively.

Growers Cider: Packaging with Purpose

 

Part of Arterra Wines Canada portfolio, Growers is one of Canada’s best-known cider brands. They came to Jacknife with a clear challenge: modernize the brand without losing its legacy. With nearly a century of history behind it, the brand needed to shake off dated perceptions and appeal to a younger, more style-conscious consumer, all while keeping its legacy intact.

 

Our approach was a flexible packaging system grounded in clarity and shelf-level impact. We created a new suite of flavour-specific illustrations and a simplified design structure that maintained brand recognition while introducing a fresh visual energy.

Gamut: A Rebrand Rooted in Evolution

 

Formerly known as Marijuana Packaging, Gamut needed more than a visual update. It needed an identity reset. The business was expanding into new categories, from wellness to beauty to premium consumer goods. The old name no longer fits.

 

We developed a new name, brand strategy, and identity system that unlocked Gamut’s next chapter. The identity is clean, confident, and flexible. It was designed to scale with the business. We built a modern system that feels elevated but accessible, allowing the brand to grow beyond its cannabis roots without losing its credibility.

 

That complete transformation earned Gamut the Integrated Award in the Rebrand/Refresh category. It was a strong reminder of how powerful a well-executed pivot can be.
